Chapter 2

We sit in silence for a couple of minutes then she (the girl) stands up. 

“What are you doing and what did you see? ”I ask. Before she answers, she is going to say that she saw the Catamander. I’m right.

40 minutes later, I am outside with Giggle – the girls name – where Giggle first came from. It was pouring outside. I wish I stayed inside with the fire burning to keep my little room warm. Giggle wants my to come to an abandoned toy shop. 

“Why do you want me here?” I ask,confused.

“This is where I saw the Catamander,”said Giggle. We went to the pier. We saw them. Great big footprints and fur hinting that the Catamander was here.

We went to the rusted, remote door of the toy-store. I stay where the door is as I am full of fear – Giggle looks unafraid. When we got in, the fur trall was much more than a little bit.

“Giggle why did you…,” I stop at what I saw.

“I told you that the Catamander is here,” when she saw my face she turned around and screamed. Outside, the wind roared like a lion. Inside, the Catamander growled a low, deep growl. Giggle and me ran for it but the Catamander leapt in the air and into the freezing, crashing waves.
