Seagullmander

End of chapter 1…

“Why do you need to hide?” I ask him rapidly.

“Shhh!” he replies “I-I saw it,with my own two eyes!”continues the boy.

Chapter 2:

I pause for a moment just before asking “What did you see and why won’t you tell me?”Outside the wind was suddenly howling.I have a big feeling that I know what he’s about to say.I was right, apparently he saw the Seagullmander.

10 minutes later,we are outside while the wind is screaming. We walk to where the scene happened.I know I should have stayed at the museum, snoozing away.I even asked him his name,it was Joshua he was so nice and caring! The wind was so strong it nearly blew my hair away. The wind was out of control and the trees were tilting towards the beaten up grass. We carefully crept pass the tasty tenders, the ticket box and Mrs wendy’s towel and shade shop. The doors are locked the windows *********** for the rapid rain to stop crying. Not even a spirit has been spotted outside except us…or not.

Joshua aggressively pulls me right in front of the ocean.I gape at what he’s looking at,and then my jaw leaves my mouth onto the ground. Green snake-like eyes, ugly sharp claws grasping onto the silky sand.I take Joshua with me to look at the scene. The annoying wind collapses onto shutters. We hear a growl. We go towards the footprints nervously.

We carefully creep towards the cabins along the beach-front.In a blink of an eye,the wind howls louder, and even louder and bashes onto every door, waking everyone up.Something behind me steps on a twig and growls.Frightened we turn around, glaring at thin air.Was there there really anything there?

Chapter 3:

A week has already gone by and we are all smuggled in our duvets.I slouch on the warm and comfortable sofas, as we play a crazy game of JENGA, waiting for the oven to RING!Outside, the wind howls louder and louder as we take a brick out and another.Inside,we solemnly sit in our silky PJ’s.”Yes, I won!”shouts Joshua with a greedy grin.”Now let’s take this seriously.” What does he have to say now?”Please trust me, I have good faith in myself alright!”

“Fine!”

It just so happens that Joshua has been doing crazy research about the mander and apparently it was a normal seagull but once it grew it was getting vicious and scary. We walk up the hills and down, back and forth on the soggy sand.Joshua found freeky footprints on the sand leading upto the sea.Just like the first evidence I ever witnessed.

I sigh and finally agree. We make sure there are no staff or even customers to see us leave. Before we go I get everything prepared. The wind was howling louder than ever.We find barbed wire and a sign saying ‘No trespassing’.A feel goosebumps all over my body.Without a face he continues on his stupid journey, but I had no choice but to follow him. There was no way out!

Not gonna lie but I didn’t really believe Joshua at first but the green slime was so gross that I can’t stop thinking about it.We carefully crept past the scary sign and creeped further, and further. There was a clear, gooey and watery substance that led us to a creepy cave,it was bleeding water like it just rained.”This is the moment I’ve been waiting for,do NOT ruin it!”yelled Joshua. But I knew I was going to at some point.Goosebumps spread across my body.I know this wasn’t gonna end well.

The cave was small but tall. There were feathers all over the place,But something caught the corner of my eye.We creeped forward.I looked back to see if anyone was there,I look forward again and he found it.Joshua the dumbest of all found it.I couldn’t believe my eyes,it was a nest and there was something in it, it was round and colorful.

In that second,I felt a spirit walk past me,as I crept forwards.I rapidly shake Joshua’s right arm and then stepped back, but there was no point because he just stepped forwards.I wanna go home.We hear footsteps coming from outside.I grasp onto Joshua’s hand and we run until…SMASH! BANG!A big piece of rock falls from above and blocks our way.We hear an unpleasant growl. We look up and there it was,the Seagullmander.
