Elizabeth Betty had not wanted to leave her mother. She creeped out of the second room to go and see what was happening outside. She saw people walking and talking and across the street, she saw a kind lady walking and holding bags of food. The lady across the street dropped the bag of food and Elizabeth rushed downstairs, out of the house and across the quiet country road to help the poor lady.The Lady thanked Elizabeth for helping her with the bags full of food and she felt sad for the old lady, walking on her own. 

Her first day of school was good and was now on a memory.The teacher was a kind looking lady and from the start she knew Elizabeth was fidgety and she knew that Elizabeth would not pay attention to the teacher.The teacher’s name was Miss Cook. She told Elizabeth to stand up and introduce herself to everyone in the whole class.Once Elizabeth sat down, the teacher started the lesson but just then the bell rang and Elizabeth rushed outside like a bullet to play in the playground. Elizabeth quickly made some new friends straight; away her friends really seemed to like her very much.

The days turned into months and Elizabeth started to feel more comfortable at home and at her new school. She spent her days listening in school and planting seeds in the vegetable garden for plants to grow for Miss Cook’s garden. Elizabeth would work hard everyday and after school when she came back from school she did her chores that she did everyday and in the night she would make herself a warm drink and study her school books.The next day Miss Cook was pleased with Elizabeth because of how she studys and her work problems.

Outside, cobwebs and spiders gather into corners.Inside fire struggles to reach the deep dark bedrooms. Every Morning,Elizabeth is woken up by the sound of people shouting. Every morning, Elizabeth wakes up and peeks through the curtain and watches Miss Cook plant her flowers. Every morning, Elizabeth would do her chores and then would get changed into clothes and sneak of into the deep dark woods.Elizabeth was scared and she didn’t know her way here, she was shivering and had goosebumps on her arms .Elizabeth didn’t know what to do she wanted to go back but she couldn’t find her way back and she wished she never went into the deep dark woods.Then Elizabeth heard branches creaking. She looked left and right but no one was there so she kept walking. She had teary eyes. She heard a sound again so she hid behind a tree and she saw an animal with a long neck and brown patterns on its body and she saw Miss Cook reveal her secret…A giraffe.
