The rainbow house
The rainbow house!
Go and open the red door,
Maybe you will see,
strawberry’s and cherry’s being freshly picked,
Rose petals falling of the plants and
a poppy growing in the flower bed.
Go and open the orange door,
Maybe you will see,
a goldfish in its tank,
oranges being freshly squeezed and
Bubbling lava falling in a rock pool.
Go and open the yellow door,
Maybe you will see,
daffodils being picked by a young girl,
Lemons falling off the bush and
ducklings swimming in the pond.
Go and open the green door,
Maybe you will see,
baby trees growing,
leafs blowing
And mint being used for limeade.
Go and open the blue door,
Maybe you will see,
the beautiful ocean reflecting the sky,
Whales and dolphins flexing its tricks and
the chef making a blueberry smoothie for others.
Go and open the pink door,
Maybe you will see,
flamingos pecking at the shrimp,
Candy floss being made by the waterfall and
tulips growing out the grass.
Go and open the purple door,
Maybe you will see,
Plums falling of the tree,
Purple crayons being used for colouring and
lavender falling of the bush.
I Have Never
I have never wrestled Tyson Fury but I have fought my brother for my favourite toy, Snowy.
I have never climbed Mount Everest but I have chased my brother up and down the stairs.
I have never petted a cute, but fierceome tiger but I have tickled the hair on my cat’s chin.
I have never ridden on a T-Rex but I have clung on The Dragon in Lego Land for dear life.
I have never captured a fire breathing dragon but I have fished up a crayfish in Sweden.
I have never watched Godzilla attack the Avengers but I have seen Godzilla vs King Kong in the movies.
I have never bounced off the moon in space but I have gracefully fallen down a rock climbing wall.
I have never surfed a star in space but I have skidded down a muddy hill in Hartham park.
I have never visited Venus’s Rings but I have seen a hamster spin it’s wheel in a pet store.

As a result of snow – children fog up the windows with wide eyes.
As a result of dogs – tiny pawprints scattered around the beach.
As a result of clocks – time falls away from us every second.
As a result of alarms – people flop out of bed with tired moans.
As a result of sun – children’s eyes fill with sadness as there ice cream falls on to the sizzling floor.
As a result of lightning – cats shiver.
As a result of oranges – sticky orange hands painting handprints on white walls.1
As a result of wind – fragile blossoms fly off there branches.
Walking troon
Walking Troon
On Monday, I saw Troon beach the sunny, golden sand,
with hundreds of paw prints spotted around like a work of art,
The tall towering sand dunes, sharp wild grass, natures best hiding spots.
On Tuesday, I found a white sea-gulls feather moving swiftly in the breeze,
Like an elegant ballet dancer , spinning and twirling like a chocolate twirl
Lost in the winter clouds.
On Wednesday, I walk to Troon kiosk,
the soft Mr whippy ice cream with a hot sizzling square
sausage and a frosty cold can of Irn bru eating on the watching the pink sunset
Falling into the sparkling sea.
On Thursday, I walk past the green never-ending golf course,
Like a layer of green frosting over a black chocolate cake,
With dotted trees and yellow sprinkles trickled over it.
On Friday, I smelt the tasty sweet aroma of the cookie jar,
The rows and rows of sweets with tasty cupcakes, chocolate until your sick
And the queue every Friday that runs up the street all the way to Saturday.
On Saturday, I hear the squawking calls of the seagulls,
My morning unwanted alarm clock, as loud as the sound of children’s laughter,
after a week of school awaiting the weekend.
On Sunday, I dream of rushing waves falling onto the golden sand,
squawking sea gulls awaiting for a salty chip to fall to the floor and
the fast blue trains like a bolt of lightning flying past the green golf course.
Queava and the locket of secrets
Chapter 3
After hours and hours of running around the room feeling around for some sort of escape, “you know how old this place is do you really think when you touch that stone a secret door will unravel itself and we will be saved forever?” Moaned Trevor staring gloomily at the stone floor
“Well If you helped me instead of twiddling you thumbs maybe we will escape! Replied Queava angrily, but Trevor just stared at the floor pretending that he heard none of it. Queava glared at him, “I am not doing this all on my home for me to do all the work and you can just stride out of here like it was a video game!” Shouted Queava
After and awkward silence had fallen upon them Queava kept trying she was desperate. She stared out the chained window as the pink sunset filled the room with light “What did I do to deserve this!!!” Queava banged her had of the wall and it started to bleed “
What did you do that for!” Shouted Trevor
“Sorry I got angry please will you just help!
“But why? if I help I will just ruin everything and soon that wicked lady will have to hand us over people will get suspicious” sighed Trevor
“Okay then just sit there like one of the stuffed teddy bears in my bedroom and stare at me like I’m an actor!” Squealed Queava
it was silent and nothing was said for hours. Queava still kept doing anything she could think of to just try and escape.
Queava stood impatiently with her arm folded as she fiddled with her feet trying to think of an idea when it came to her she could use her father’s pocket knife to pick the lock and get out of here. Queava had never understood why her father had a pocket knife in every single room of the house she opened the cupboard and there it was the pocket knife! She picked the best sized knife and got to it she pushed it and turned it and did everything she could to pick the lock. She had watched lots of mystery and crime movies and read lots of books about them and tried all of the strategy’s the characters use in them. After hours of trying it was no good nothing worked and they were stuck. She looked down at her hands they were grazed and had blisters and were bleeding a lot but she didn’t care she had to get out no matter what but suddenly she felt extremely tired and Trevor had been asleep for hours she rolled her eyes thinking “was Trevor really right?, was there a way to escape? and if there is what is it?!.”
It was getting dark and Queava’s eyes were starting to drift off to sleep but she couldn’t go to sleep she had to stay awake and look out for an escape. After a while though her eyes couldn’t stay open any longer and just as she was drifting off to sleep she heard a noise a sort of odd scraping noise she crawled over to the window and peeked over the window ledge it was Rusty! “Hello Give me A Wind up Will You?” He murmured
“Rusty! How did you escape from that wicked lady?!” Exclaimed Queava
“She thought I was asleep and left the room and I found the key and escaped!” Said rusty excitedly
“Okay well why are you here? We can’t escape !” Murmured Queava
“Yes you can” said rusty
” What!”
Rusty handed her a folded piece of paper Queava looked at it confused but she opened it, it was a map of the house!
“It appears that you are standing over a trap door that leads outside” said Rusty
“Oh my goodness” replied Queava she looked down and noticed a rise in the floor
“How could I not notice this!” She exclaimed Queava went down to pull it up and it only rose a few centimetre’s “I don’t think I can do this on my own” said Queava she looked over at Trevor snoring on the floor and she walked over to him and screamed “WAKE UP!” Trevor jumped up startled and moaned
“ugh what did you do that for”
“We have a chance to escape and I need an extra hand” Whispered Queava
“Fine what do you want me to do” Queava explained everything that had happened while he was asleep and he was in shock “I take one nap and all of that happens!” Laughed Trevor
“Okay let’s get to work” said Queava efficiently they walked over to the exact spot the door was and they started to pull it wouldn’t budge but they kept working and the door finally sprung open and a long ladder went down into a dark underground tunnel they climbed down and walked along the dark tunnel and after what felt like hours of darkness they finally saw light they ran towards it and found there selves in a field full of grass and grass and grass but as they looked around rusty spotted a barn of some sort so they walked over and it was full of comfy bales of hay they all collapsed on to them and immediately felt there body’s sweep with tiredness and Queavas eyes slowly shut and she drifted off to sleep. But her thoughts were not at rest and lots of worries were running around her mind where was her locket?, was there really a key, what was inside the locket and what did the lady mean when she said ” give me the locket or you will regret it”?
on my way home…
On my way home …
I met a girl called Diamond,
Her eyes shimmered like a river on a sunny day
And her hair was a sharp silver that reflected all that couldn’t be seen,
Listening to her words was like the tension of watching an arcade game
slowly moving towards the jackpot.
I met a boy called Lonely,
His eyes were like silent dark caves looking for a purpose
His hair wildly flopped in the breeze like an old teddy bear
that’s lost its stuffing.
And his voice quivered like a pianists fingers.
I met a woman of Winter,
Her eyes shined like a glaze of ice,
Her skin was frosted as if she was living in a freezer.
And the long locks of her hair trailed behind her like a wedding vail.
She demanded cold words
And no matter the weather her voice was always followed by a cloud of silver mist.
I met a man of Sorrow,
His eyes drooped down like a bloodhounds when he looks at you,
His slow voice was like a sloth climbing up a sky-high oak tree,
And the pale skin that coated his body was cold
Like a summers morning.
I met a girl called Rainbow,
Every glance you took to look at her a smile spread across your face
Like spreading butter across a smooth piece of toast.
The time it took for her to arrive could be seconds or days
And you would never see her without sun or rain.
I met a woman called Twighlight,
Her eyes sparkled like a million pound diamond
Her hair was a shiny black like a sly panthers fur
And her voice was loud and confident like a wild celebrity.
I met a soldier called Wisdom,
Her eyes were like ticking clocks,
And her mouth was an unlimited dictionary
She spoke slowly and wisely,
Like an old owl.
I met a boy called Silence,
He spoke words that had no sound,
His eyes an ice blue
And his hand spoke to his soul speaking what he couldn’t say.
I met a girl called Normal,
Her hair a silk wavy blonde.
She spoke songs of life,
Her eyes a grassy green
And she danced to school every morning
like a happy gazelle.

In the Land of Never believe
In the land of Never-believe the soft sandy beach tickled my toes as the sea slowly waved at me.
In the land of Never-believe the fresh mint breeze played my hair making a slow melody.
In the land of Never-believe the sun told the candy floss clouds a story as they drifted off to sleep.
In the land of Never-believe the waves slowed as the round full moon rose above it looking down into the calm silver sea.
In the land of Never-believe the delightful dolphins leaped over the waves making a black silhouette in the sunset sky.
In the land of Never-believe the sun spreaded a dark orange fire across the sky like a burst of flames.
In the land of Never-believe the sea was slowly spreading towards me stretching before bed.
In the land of Never believe the beach silenced as the moon lit the sky with a silver reflection covering the ocean like a soft silk blanket.
