fire tree, ice flower

Fire Tree

Fire Tree burning loudly

Walking around

burning everything in sight

And had a smouldering black bark

as dark as space.

Its raging red leaves

wailing at passers’ by like an alarm.

Its twigs as thin as French fries

and trunk like Dumbo’s legs,

Along with roots

that dug as deep as a mole.

By Patrick

Ice Flower

Ice Flower has petals

as blue as the sea

And a slender stem like a pencil led.

It has a blue bud

covered with freezing frost

Along with a leaf

small and shrivelled

Like a burnt chip from McDonalds.

Its roots cry in hope

Waiting patiently for warmth and comfort.

I met…

I met a man called Tree,

He had arms as thin as a spiders silk

and hair like freshly cut grass.

He spoke like a soft pillow.

I met a king called Sadness,

He had grey eyes with no emotion at all

And cried his heart out every day of every year.

I met a rabbit called Grass,

It had legs like a *************

And leaped from field to field in an instant.

I met a car called Speed,

He had a set of space black tyres

And raced around the track as quick as the flash.

I met a queen called Lies,

She had thin lips like a wicked witch.

And said she didn’t steal the houses of many.

I met a girl called dusk,

She had eyes like the milky way.

And she disappeared into the night as quick as she arrived.

I met a bird called steal,

he had  jet black wings like a crow

and robbed me of my shiny silver watch.

I met a prince called whisper,

He had a small mouth

And spread lies as quick as a Lamborghini at full speed.

I met a princess called sun,

She was always full of friendly energy

And she played happily with everyone she met.

I met a man called Shrub,

He had bushy hair as green as the Amazonian

And only stayed in one place.

Chapter 4 the golden eye by Patrick.

Chapter 4: The golden eye.

Ignoring the creature he tried to look for the door he came in and will be leaving in hopefully, he saw nothing, not one bit of evidence  until he turned around. He saw a stream of light coming from a strawberry planet he knew it had to be the door.

He floated across the cosmos all the way there, he felt tired and exhausted it took ages to get there but he knew in his mind it was worth it. Then he remembered that the creature was still following him so he never stopped, his face drizzled with sweat. The planet looked deserted until he got over the hedge three doors stood waiting to be opened. One of the doors was a birch door and the others were a oak and pine. He was really confused and didn’t know which door to pick. His mind shut off as soon as this odd screeching noise that hurt his ears came. He took one deep breath and it stopped, he kept thinking of which door it could be.

He didn’t know what to do, his brain was working so hard that all of a sudden he felt a bit nauseous. He kept thinking, until the sound came back directly into his ears. He let out a huge scream which made him lose his focus. His started to blur and his thought disappear with one blink of an eye. He turned around and saw the the weird, un-human like creature was racing towards him, which scared him more than a snake, then he realised it was only a couple of feet away from him. His eyes only focused on the oak door he knew the it was the oak door. He took one leap for man kind. He pulled and pulled until he knew the door knob was stuck he had a plan in the time he had, he thought it wouldn’t work but it was. He turned around and realised it reached the planet. The creature gun charged up its gun, boom  the creature pulled the trigger, the laser flew past Edward hitting the door knob he ran directly to the door. Whoosh the exit flew open Edward jumped through with no hesitation he jumped through it.

He got back up the gun was charging up boom the trigger was pulled. Edward jumped up and shut the door making a loud bang. He ran as fast as his little legs could run, he stopped as soon as he hit the end of the hallway. He crept and crept until he got close enough he knew he had too dash across the landing to the exit. He ran but then he heard a voice, who could of it have been, he turned around nothing was there he turned back around knowing he would have to get home for supper “Ahh, did you find what you were looking for,” the Emporium owner said to Edward in a annoyed voice.

He ran out until he stopped when he heard the shop owner voice “The one thing that this shop can’t do is show the future are bring back the past,” his stern voice said to Edward, whilst he was polishing a golden golden eagle.

Then he shouted to Edward “ Come back again,” Edward ran away from the building with fear.

He realised that the floor was completely full of water but when he turned around he noticed the Emporium disappeared like it was never there. His dad was correct. He thought it was just a fairytale or a myth, he ran home to his house and for a strange reason thought he was being followed but that did not stop him from running home ready to tell his dad what he had just experienced. He was amazed and he knew his dad would also be  excited like him.

He ran and ran until he stopped to catch a breath he still had a weird feeling that someone or something was watching his every move. He got back up and kept running, as soon as he saw his house he ran quicker than he had ever ran. He busted through the door and told his dad the story he was more amazed then Edward was his jaw dropped to the floor and his eyes widened. Then his eyes focused on outside and he saw a golden eye staring inside there house then with a blink of an eye it disappeared from Edwards eye sight he was confused and wanted to go back to that Emporium another time but he knew it would have to be in a couple of months but then he thought that it may not be here ever again because it was magical. He knew then he would have to visit the Emporium again.

THE MAGICAINS SHOP BY PATRICK

THE MAGICIANS SHOP ™

Prologue

Magic is a wonderful thing it can amaze or shock anyone, but it is not all fun and games. Magic with most things has an evil side and it is used to kill or even drive you insane. And that is not nice, so the bad magic was banished to a place called Menzion but as all things there never gone for good. But now magic can only be found in magic shops with a powerful wizard guarding them. But if your super unlucky it could be the wrong type of magic.

And if you pick the wrong shop, you will be in for a treat.

Chapter 1

Jake is a normal 11-year-old kid he has a phone, and an interest in wizards and magic and recently an old magic shop has opened back up and today Jake is going to check it out. And with his pocket money he could buy something. Jake got out the car he jumped up in excitement the air around the shop always felt special to him like it was calling him, he has always wanted to go inside it. The windows were blacked out like a black hole and the door was shimmering like water reflecting the night sky. The door felt warm like a cosy fire although it was super cold outside but that did not bother Jake, he opened the door. Jake’s shoe hit a warm fluffy carpet it felt like a cloud. Jake looked around the walls were painted purple like shining amethyst with what seemed like millions of magical items hung up like paintings in a gallery, there was masks, wands like ones in harry potter, hats all shapes and sizes. It was magical for Jake and in the middle of it all was a glass case with a top hat sitting on a cushion like a king on a throne. And over by the end of the shop was a sleek wooden counter with a shiny silver bell with a note attached reading ‘ring me ‘and behind the counter was a pink curtain so thick that not even light could get through.

So, Jake did what the note said and as the ear bleeding noise ended a puff of smoke came out from behind the counter and suddenly a person appeared. But when Jake looked closer… it was a dummy. Then Jake felt a chill run down his spine like someone had touched him on the back he turned around…Nothing but the hat. It sat like it like a cake in a bakery waiting to be eaten so as Jake stared at the mesmerizing thing a shadow crept over his head like a blanket as a soft bark tickled his ears then an old grumbly voice said “oh so yu interested in me (h)at “Jake turned around slowly.

Chapter 2

Jake turned round the first thing that he saw was an adorable little golden cockapoo by his feet brushing him like a river doses to fish it seemed so bright and happy but when Jake looked up the room seemed to darken when he saw a man who was wearing jacket that made him look like he had no torso, and he was see-through with dark blue jeans like the ocean at night ; his hair seemed to flow like a gentle breeze moving sand through a desert .His chin was like a finger was attached to his chin and eyes as dark as the black abys of space but when he talks to you feel like laughing “wel um to ma shop “Jake nearly teared up “my ame iz mizzder Bloo and ma dog sloojee” at this point Jake wasn’t paying attention to him because he had burst out laughing at mizzder but after Jake had stopped, he asked “Can I buy this hat “ he pointed to the hat in the middle Mr blue shook his head “Noo izt ma at itz noot foor sayll ““ boot anay fing elez iz fo sayll” Jake looked around but the only thing is the answer to what is behind the curtain “what’s behind the curtain ?” Mr blue looked over at the pink curtain. He sighed “eehhh nootin “Jake asked again the same replied. Jake pushed past Mr blue and ran into the curtain he looked around but all he could see was himself …

Jake was confused he was staring at himself but when he looked down, he saw himself again it was like he was dreaming he looked back he saw the curtain he pushed through it again he was back in the shop Jake looked over at Mr blue in confusion “what the heck is going on!” Mr blue smiled “daz de amser.” Mr blue walked into the curtain. Jake followed. It was a long corridor, but it was completely made of mirrors, so it looked like everything was endless but there was the actional dark wooden door with labels reading saw room to cat room but the one that intrigued Jake the most is the label reading opposite room “what’s the opposite room?” Mr blue stared at the door “ iz A bag room ip dainguriz room eva” but Jake had already stepped inside the room.

The room was a field full of bunny’s as white as snow hopping around flowers of all sorts of colours but when Jake turned around, he knew why it was the opposite room.

Chapter 3

The room was happy on one side but the other side its evil with dead grass and flowers that were on fire the bunny was a skeleton and it was fighting with the happy bunny like a little wrestling match between happy and evil as they rolled across the ground Jake looked closer at the evil side it was symmetrical on each side the bunnies were moving in the exact same way. Jake saw something in the distant a little cottage on the happy side it had a fresh pie steaming on the window; on the evil side the window was broken. on the happy side the house was painted a soft yellow like a sun set; on the evil side the brick was showing, and it had holes in the wall. Jake thought if there was a fresh pie then who made it? But Jake pushed that thought away Jake entered the house.

As Jake entered, he got a shiver down his spine telling him not to go in, but he kept on going he opened the door it creaked like a horror movie. Jake looked around it was the same on each side in away the table was set and broken but when Jake stepped into the happy side, he felt warm when he looked around, he shocked himself because when he looked around, he had an opposite version of him it was his skeleton. He looked around he even tried some pie it was apple flavour the inside was even happier well on the happy side the evil side was all run down then he heard the door open he looked round he saw a big lanky figure it moved its beak like head and with its deep red eyes stared at Jake not blinking.

Chapter 4

Jake felt like he was staring into death itself Jake froze in fear but not for long after a few seconds, he unfroze and jumped through a window it left a few scrapes, but Jake was more focused on getting out of there and finding the door luckily Jake has great and after finding his way back he looked round there was no door he was trapped in the opposite room with that thing whatever it was Jake looked around more he couldn’t find the door anywhere not even in the ground yes he even started digging but the harder he worked the closer death got littirly but after a while death was to close and Jake was to tired

But when death got so close you could touch it. Butit wasn’t a cold lifeless soul it was warm? SLASH! A blade chopped through jakes neck. everything was dark…

Jake felt floppy. Suddenly light burst through his eyes like doors opening. His eyes opened “sa ye dinn’t do af I saib”said Mr blue looking over Jake looking disappointed in Jake “Emm …well “Jake got up slowly and stood up he sighed. He ran. He smashed the glass holding the hat. He has hat he shut the door and ran into his car. The car started up. He was safe Jake grasped the hat tightly like a mother holding her baby he had the hat, and he was safe.

For now…

The Somewhere Emporium Chapter 1: Beyond the doors. By Patrick.

The Somewhere Emporium Prologue.

There are many places that have an Emporium. Some of them are weird, wonderful and wacky but this Emporium is all three.

Even though the Emporium looked hypnotising no one every fell for its tricks. The street was deserted like a wasteland no one touched the slant of lamplight at the start of the street and no one dared to touch the cobbled, grey stairs that led to the Emporiums main doors and the Emporium was Somewhere but never Nowhere. Yesterday it was on a different street now it’s on the abounded street. No one ever dared to touch any part of the Emporium until there came Edward.

Chapter 1: beyond the doors.

Edward has always been a mysterious child and his dad told him not too go in anything weird but he never listened to him. One dark night the moon cloaked the town and Edward walked along the deserted, dusty road and saw something that he has never seen before. It was glowing brightly and said on the sign the somewhere Emporium of wonderful and weird things the strange thing was he has never seen it and it is in a dark alley way.  He walked closer and opened the huge, bulky doors. He put a single foot inside the extremely bright emporium and knew he would get into some mischief.

He walked in and his jaw dropped amazed and excited. The cold breeze hit him making his self shiver. Crows flew around making a bunch of weird but calming tweeting sounds and old, scraps of machinery kept sliding into each other. Gold and silver watches could be seen from the surface and ancient china dolls laid on the dusty shelve with a single wooden knight to accompany the weird doll. The uneven tiles on the floor was grubby and gross but the light bulbs shone like a star. Then a strange book caught the corner of his eye, he ran to the worktop it laid on. He turned the pages reading all of the weird and wonderful  wonders.

“What are doing in my shop,” a muffled voice could be heard in the lit up room.  Edward dropped the book that was full of different fantasy’s  and turned around. The old man wore midnight like clothes and diamond eyes . He stood there with disapproval.

The choon of Dynamite. By Patrick.

If I were summonded

to create a treasure

I would take:

The crash of lightning hitting a rocky road

the sudden gunshot sound of a can opening

the choon of dynamite sizziling in a blockbuster film.

The saucey smell of pasta from a five star restaraunt

the milky chocolate wafting into my nose

cotton candy drifting around the aroma.

The uneven bumps on various lego’s

the first touch of me and my mum hugging

and sand betwwen my toes.

Seeing my family since march 6th

the beatiful but sometimes ugly look of mountians

the beatiful sight of the pesky, disgusting covid-19 leaving the world’s atmosphere.

What are?

What are dull? The rain crashing against your coat soaking, your ears red. Your football game being canceled while your all ready, Your mom in disbelief of what you have done.

What are fragile?

A heart that has been broken by someone you love. A glass vase recently been put on a slim window shelf, our soul protected by those whom may turn against you.

What are heavy?

A 1000 pound weight on top of 300 humans, Our heart when someone we love dies or leaves us, a fire door made of metal which no one can move

What are cruel?

A whip striking  a body, a secret holding you back from what you want, lie that shuts the map

What is…Poem

What is loud? The turbulence of a plane, the “neigh” of a horse and the voice of Gordon Ramsay shouting “where’s the lamb sauce?!”

What is quiet? An electric car engine, a baby’s first words and a deaf people when their ears hurt.

What is tired? My mouth chewing a massive piece of gum and my leg when it starts feeling numb.

What is boisterous? My brother watching TV, my skin when I start to feel cold and my grandpa when he notices he’s going bald.

What is crowded? DisneyLand, fireworks blazing and the leaning tower of Pisa that is undoubtedly amazing.

What is  lonely? A singular water droplet falling from the sky, a boy on a bus all alone, a bird floating in the sky on it’s own.

What is Happy? A predator that’s just caught it’s prey, me when I find my phone and my mum when I stop to moan.

What is sad? A loss of a family member, when school day just carry on goin’ and when we finally reach the end of this poem.
